Accordingly, the planning area is the entire area of Sub-area 01 in the project to adjust the general planning for the construction of Van Phong Economic Zone, Khanh Hoa province to 2040, with a vision to 2050.
The planning area has a total area of about 10,000.77 hectares in Van Thanh commune, Van Ninh district. Of which, the natural land area is about 4,911.47 hectares, the sea surface area is about 5,089.3 hectares for spatial connection research (boundaries and sea area areas are implemented according to the provisions of the Law on Marine and Island Environment Resources and related legal regulations).
The Hon Lon Island Eco-tourism Area borders Lach Cua Be and Vung Dam Mon in Van Phong Bay to the North; Van Phong Bay to the South; Co Co Lach in Van Phong Bay to the East; Van Phong Bay to the West.
In nature, this is a high-class eco-tourism - resort area, a specialized green park, and entertainment.
The planned area has an estimated population of about 8,000 people; there are no residents living on Hon Lon Island.
Also according to the approved planning, the land use structure in the tourist area includes: Service land occupies 570.23 hectares; limited green land occupies 335.78 hectares; tourism service land occupies 414.2 hectares; Land for traffic roads accounts for 112.35 hectares;…
Previously, on March 27, 2023, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 298/QD-TTg approving the Project to adjust the general planning for the construction of Van Phong Economic Zone until 2040, with a vision to 2050.
This is a solid legal corridor for implementing the planning of sub-zones for infrastructure development, synchronously implementing essential works and attracting investment in specific projects in Van Phong.
According to the plan, this place is divided into 19 sub-zones with development areas for seaports, logistics services, urban areas, and resort services.
