Sun Group Corporation recently had a meeting with leaders of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of projects in this locality, according to Khanh Hoa Electronic Information Portal.

The enterprise said it is researching and proposing 14 projects in Khanh Hoa, including Van Phong International Airport and many urban areas such as Co Ma, Tu Bong, Dam Mon, Ho Na luxury resort... In addition, the group also proposed to invest in 2 urban projects with mixed-use functions in Nha Trang City.

According to the planning project of Van Phong airport of Khanh Hoa province in July 2024, this airport is proposed to be implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) method. The airport has a planning area of ​​over 497 hectares, located entirely on the coastal water surface of Van Thang commune, Van Ninh district.

Khanh Hoa province proposed to build a level 4E airport, which can accommodate wide-body aircraft such as A350, B787 and be completed before 2029. The project has an investment of nearly 7,900 billion VND, with an expected capacity of 1.5 million passengers per year.

At the meeting, Khanh Hoa Secretary Nghiem Xuan Thanh highly appreciated Sun Group's determination to implement projects in the locality. He asked the group to focus resources and quickly build a project map with a detailed roadmap. Thereby, the provincial leaders will monitor, urge, and quickly start the project when completing the necessary procedures.

The Van Phong airport project is also a project of the Van Phong economic zone - one of the three key economic zones of Khanh Hoa with a scale of about 150,000 hectares. According to the planning until 2040, with a vision to 2050, this economic zone will become a marine economic center associated with seaports, combining urban areas and services such as airports and casinos.

Recently, Sun Group also proposed to study and invest in the Phu Quoc international airport project phase 2 to serve the APEC 2027 conference. In the field of aviation infrastructure, this enterprise has invested in Van Don international airport under the form of a BOT contract. The company was also appointed as the contractor for the Gia Binh international airport project with a commitment to complete within 12 months.

On the Khanh Hoa side, this province is promoting attracting non-budget investment with 158 projects in the period of 2025-2030. Of which, Nha Trang City has 45 projects, Cam Ranh City has 41 projects, Ninh Hoa Town has 18 projects...

In 2024 alone, Khanh Hoa attracted 26 non-budget investment projects with a total capital of about VND 50,654 billion, and at the same time adjusted to increase capital for 17 projects with an additional registered capital of about VND 3,089 billion.
