The Hanoi People's Committee has just approved the urban planning project of Soc Son area 6, scale 1/2000, scale of more than 500 hectares. The zoning planning project will divide, determine the functions, land use indicators of land plots, social infrastructure works in an urban area to concretize the general planning.

Accordingly, urban area 6 of Soc Son district belongs to the administrative boundaries of Dong Xuan, Mai Dinh, Phu Lo communes with a population of about 16,330 people by 2030. The location of the area is adjacent to National Highway 18 and the inter-regional planning road from Noi Bai International Airport to Dong Quan Lake.

Area 6 consists of 4 planning blocks, focusing on developing small and medium-sized industrial clusters, mixed-use serving the university urban area and airport ancillary services, and ecological green park areas.

Area A is over 400 hectares wide, including three planning blocks with the function of developing small and medium-sized industrial clusters, aiming to transform into an auxiliary service industry model. Priority industries include electronics, information technology, mechanics, automobile manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, textiles... following the model of clean industry, high technology and high-value auxiliary industry. Area B is about 100 hectares wide, including one planning block with the main function of centralized public services such as commercial centers, shopping centers, outlets... Priority works and complexes are arranged along the main roads, at the gateways of the city. An important highlight in the area is the service complex at the intersection between Noi Bai - Ha Long Expressway and National Highway 18.

Over the past two years, Hanoi has successively issued decisions approving the planning tasks of 7 urban subdivisions of Soc Son, at a scale of 1/2000. Most recently, in April, subdivision 1 with a scale of nearly 630 hectares was approved with the goal of developing urban administration, financial and commercial service centers.

Soc Son district is located in the planning of the northern city of Hanoi. According to the project to adjust the general planning of the capital to 2045, with a vision to 2065, the northern city is expected to include Dong Anh, Me Linh, and Soc Son districts, with a total area of ​​about 633 km2.

With the advantage of having Ring Road 4 passing through, the Soc Son real estate market has experienced many exciting periods, especially the land segment, in the period of 2021-2022. Currently, along with the general developments of the market, land in this suburban district is in the recovery stage, with little fluctuation in transactions.
