On the afternoon of September 26, at the press conference of Khanh Hoa province in the third quarter of 2024, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh - Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism - said that Khanh Hoa tourism has reached the 2024 finish line early.
Khanh Hoa tourism wins big thanks to organizing many national and international events
According to Ms. Thanh, in the first 9 months of the year, the whole province welcomed about 9 million overnight guests, an increase of 57.9% over the same period in 2023 (reaching 100% of the 2024 plan).
Of which, there were 3.6 million international visitors, an increase of 147.9% over the same period (exceeding 20% of the 2024 plan); 5.4 million domestic visitors, an increase of 27.2% over the same period (reaching 90% of the 2024 plan).
Total tourism revenue is estimated at more than VND 44,138 billion, an increase of 61.9% over the same period (exceeding 10% of the 2024 plan).
The Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism said that many tourism promotion activities and successful organization of national and international events such as Nha Trang International Bay of Light Festival, India - Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Conference, Golden Kite Award... have brought Khanh Hoa tourism to the finish line ahead of schedule.

According to Ms. Thanh, in Khanh Hoa, instead of focusing only on beach resort tourism products like many years ago, businesses have begun to proactively exploit the potential to diversify products, focusing on developing green tourism programs.
Notably, Six Senses Ninh Van Bay resort - the first resort with a solar energy ecosystem in Vietnam.
Ana Mandara Cam Ranh resort is also a pioneer in developing green tourism by reducing plastic waste through operating an on-site bottled water factory and using environmentally friendly products.
Some resorts in the northern Cam Ranh peninsula (Alma, The Anam) have built green vegetable gardens, chicken farms and fruit gardens... to serve tourists to visit and experience.
Ecotourism is also quite developed in Ba Ho tourist area (Ninh Hoa town), Lang Nho - Ho Lang Nhot tourist area (Dien Khanh district)...
In the two mountainous districts of Khanh Son and Khanh Vinh, community tourism development is promoted.
"In view of the above development, the Department of Tourism has also advised the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to issue a plan "Developing green and sustainable tourism in Khanh Hoa province" on the basis of exploiting and using effectively and sustainably resources and advantages of the marine economy to make tourism a spearhead economic sector, capable of flexibly adapting to economic, social and environmental fluctuations" - Ms. Thanh said.
In the near future, the Department of Tourism of Khanh Hoa province will coordinate with the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association to organize an event to celebrate the province's completion of the 2024 target, welcoming 9 million visitors and tourism stimulus activities in the last 3 months of 2024.
