On the evening of August 10, Khanh Son District People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 2024 Khanh Son Fruit Festival, attracting thousands of tourists to visit and experience. The festival takes place from August 10 to 13 and is the third time the festival has come to tourists from near and far.

The festival aims to introduce and promote the potential and strengths of agriculture and tourism of Khanh Son district, help farmers connect supply and demand, cooperate and link, create opportunities to exchange and access new information and technology.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - vice chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province - said the festival is an opportunity to develop the agricultural ecosystem and fruit industry ecosystem, thereby building a green economy, contributing to environmental protection, encouraging startups, innovation and promoting digital transformation in agriculture, diversifying export markets.

"I believe that with the tradition of hard work, creativity, heroism, solidarity, and pioneering in struggle and production, officials and people of Khanh Son district will achieve great successes, Khanh Son will become a mountain and forest ecological urban area in the near future," Mr. Thieu said.

In the festival space, delicious fruit contests and art displays attract many visitors when many people see large-sized fruits such as durian and grapefruit for the first time.

In addition, the festival also arranged 60 booths displaying specialty fruits of high economic value and typical agricultural products of the district, booths displaying handicraft products such as baskets and crossbows. , Chapi instruments, baskets and local wine.

Looking at the durian fruits, Ms. Hoang Nhu Huyen (tourist from Nha Trang) said that besides being large in size, the fruit in Khanh Son also tastes very delicious. 

"My family has bought many durians as gifts. I hope this festival will continue for many years to come so that people and tourists can experience the typical culture and cuisine of Khanh Son district." , Ms. Huyen said.
