According to the results of the review and statistics recently conducted by the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, Khanh Hoa province has 2,081 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers working at agencies, units, schools, etc. who have a need to buy social housing. Of which, the Department of Health has the highest number with 838 cadres, civil servants, and public employees with this need.

According to the Department of Construction, to address the above-mentioned need for social housing, this agency has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan No. 9713/KH-UBND dated August 30, 2024 on the implementation of the Project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021 - 2030" in the province.

The Department of Construction will coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment to review and adjust the progress of a number of projects in each phase (if any) for implementation; publicize and introduce land funds for investment in the construction of social housing and workers' housing on the provincial and Department of Construction's electronic information portals for businesses to research and propose investment projects according to regulations.

Based on the above collected numbers and demand statistics, the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just requested the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to research and report to the Provincial People's Committee to propose an implementation plan to effectively address the demand for social housing for subjects according to regulations.

"The Department of Construction shall manage and publicize specific information on implementation progress, approved selling prices, rental prices, and lease-purchase prices, expected prices, the number of apartments (houses) sold and unsold, transaction locations of investors, etc. of each social housing project in the province so that officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers in need can know and ensure their rights according to the provisions of law", the Provincial People's Committee requested.

Recently, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, requested agencies, units and localities to carry out assigned tasks on promoting the development of social housing.

Mr. Nam assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to review the legal documents, objectives and nature of construction projects in the province; synthesize and accurately count the number of social housing construction projects; review, supplement and determine the location and land fund for social housing development in the period of 2026 - 2030 to ensure that the social housing construction targets assigned by the Government are both completed and consistent with construction planning, urban planning, industrial park planning, etc.

According to the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, in the period of 2021 - 2030, Khanh Hoa province strives to build 7,800 social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers. Of which, 3,400 units will be built in the 2021 - 2025 period; 4,400 units will be built in the 2026 - 2030 period.

Up to now, the province has completed 3,364/3,400 social housing units; it is expected that by 2025, the province will complete more than 4,500 social housing units (exceeding the target of the 2021 - 2025 period by more than 1,100 social housing units)...
