Many transportation options

On August 29, Mr. Nguyen Minh Khoi - Deputy Director of Cam Ranh International Airport said that the expected transportation output on the occasion of National Day September 2 (from August 31 to September 3) is about 450 flights (takeoffs and landings) with about 76,845 passengers, an increase of about 5% and 8% respectively compared to the same period last year.

Of which, there are 196 domestic flights with 28,790 passengers and 254 international flights with 48,055 passengers. The group of international visitors to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa on this occasion is mainly Korean and Chinese.

According to Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company, on the occasion of National Day September 2, in addition to daily trains, the railway industry will organize additional trains from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang, Quy Nhon; from Nha Trang to Da Nang and vice versa.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang route has an additional train SNT4 running on August 29 and 30; trains SNT8 and SNT12 running on August 30. The Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh City route has trains SNT5 and SNT7 running on September 2 and 3.

The Nha Trang - Da Nang route has train SE42 running on August 30 and September 1. The Da Nang - Nha Trang route has train SE41 running on August 31 and September 2. In addition, there are a number of other additional trains running from Ho Chi Minh City to the northern provinces and vice versa, stopping to pick up and drop off passengers at Nha Trang station.

 

According to Nha Trang Railway Transport Branch, the number of passengers is expected to increase by about 30% on the National Day holiday on September 2 compared to normal days. The railway industry has planned to increase trips to ensure enough tickets to serve the travel needs of the people. However, there are still many train tickets left.

Meanwhile, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hai - Director of the Southern Interprovincial Bus Station of Khanh Hoa province said that the bus station has currently connected 79 bus routes to 28 provinces and cities nationwide and 1 intra-provincial route, meeting the travel needs of the people very well.

Currently, there are about 140 buses departing from the station to the provinces every day. On the occasion of September 2 alone, there are expected to be 170 - 175 trips departing each day. The bus companies have committed to increasing trips to ensure that there is no shortage of buses to serve passengers.

Expectations for individual tourists

According to tourism businesses in Khanh Hoa province, the National Day holiday on September 2 is not a peak tourist season even though people have 4 days off. The reason is that many families and companies have traveled during the summer months and the September 2 holiday is close to the school start date for students at all levels.

Although the number of visitors to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa is expected to increase, it is not significant. Currently, hotels have introduced many promotional programs, dining and resort combos with preferential prices, but the room occupancy rate is not high.

Mr. Vo Quang Hoang - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Hotel Association under Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said that according to preliminary statistics, 3-5 star hotels in Nha Trang City have room bookings at about 60% capacity, some 5-star hotels along Tran Phu beach have room occupancy rates of about 80%.

In particular, resorts in Bai Dai tourist area have reached over 80%, many establishments have room bookings of up to 90%, mainly 3-day, 2-night room packages, focusing on August 30 - September 1.

"During holidays, airfares from Hanoi and the northern provinces to Khanh Hoa often increase by about 20% compared to normal days, so it limits the number of northern tourists coming to Khanh Hoa. However, recently, the highways connecting Khanh Hoa with the southern provinces have been put into operation, creating conditions for individual tourists and families with cars to come to Khanh Hoa during the Tet holidays.

Accordingly, the number of individual tourists may increase during the holidays, so tourism businesses need to prepare carefully to satisfy tourists. Thereby, contributing to building the destination Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa "touching the hearts" of domestic and foreign tourists" - Mr. Vo Quang Hoang shared.

Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Le Thanh also said that the Department has sent an official dispatch to tourism businesses in the province about strengthening measures to ensure service for tourists during the National Day holiday on September 2.

In particular, it is noted that establishments must ensure food hygiene and safety, fire prevention and fighting, and ensure safety for tourists in accommodation establishments and tourist areas with water entertainment services, swimming pool areas, etc.
