Nearly 99% of assigned targets completed

After the Prime Minister issued the project, the province developed a specific plan and roadmap for implementation. According to the target assigned by the Government, the province must build at least 7,800 social housing units. To date, the province has completed 3,364 units, reaching 98.9% of the plan for the 2021 - 2025 period); it is expected that by the end of 2025, the Cam Nghia Ward Social Housing Project (Cam Ranh City) will complete 1,142 units out of 3,565 units. Thus, in the 2021 - 2025 period, the province has basically completed the target according to the allocation plan.

Mr. Tran Van Chau - Director of the Department of Construction said that in the period of 2026 - 2030, the province was assigned a target of 4,400 apartments. To achieve this target, the province will promote a number of projects such as: Hung Phu II Social Housing Project (Vinh Hai Ward, Nha Trang City) with a land area of ​​6,895m2, an expected scale of about 30 floors, with 1,200 apartments; Social Housing Project in An Binh Tan Urban Area (Phuoc Long Ward, Nha Trang) with an area of ​​20,670m2, an expected scale of about 12 floors, with about 1,500 apartments; Social Housing Project in Hoang Long Urban Area (Phuoc Long Ward) with an area of ​​more than 11,309m2, an expected scale of about 9 - 12 floors, with about 900 apartments; Vinpearl Phu Quy Social Housing Project (Vinh Nguyen Ward, Nha Trang) has a land area of ​​about 10,000m2, an expected scale of 16 floors, with about 600 apartments; Cam Nghia Ward Social Housing Project is expected to have 3,565 apartments...

The province also allocates specific targets for each year to monitor and urge the progress of the projects. It is expected that in the period of 2026 - 2030, the province will strive to exceed the assigned target, with a total of 4,436 social housing units, allocated as follows: 1,142 units in 2025; 652 units in 2026; 652 units in 2027; 652 units in 2028; 652 units in 2029; 686 units in 2030.

Resolutely implement

In order to strive to achieve and exceed the targets assigned by the Government, the province has mobilized the entire political system to participate and identified this as one of the key tasks of the locality. Mr. Tran Van Chau said that in the coming time, the province will be more determined, implementing synchronous solutions to develop social housing. In particular, the work of establishing and adjusting district-level land use plans and construction zoning plans is being actively implemented by units, serving as a basis for implementing investment procedures for social housing projects to soon start construction. At the same time, relevant sectors have consulted on developing the 2025 Investment Promotion Program, synthesizing social housing investment projects in the province... as a basis for introducing to interested businesses, researching, and proposing to participate in project implementation.

Reporting to the Prime Minister at the meeting to remove obstacles and promote social housing held on March 6, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh said that Khanh Hoa is one of three provinces with a high number of completed social housing projects compared to the project by 2025. The rate of social housing projects that have been started and completed nationwide to date has reached nearly 43% of the project's target by 2025. Of which, Khanh Hoa has a rate of social housing projects that have been started and completed reaching 204% of the target, the highest in the country.

Along with that, the province also arranged funds to complete site clearance for land funds with policies to implement social housing projects, as a basis for organizing calls for investors according to regulations. In 2023, the Hung Phu II Social Housing Project was approved by the Provincial People's Committee to adjust the investment policy and at the same time approved the investor. However, up to now, the project has not been granted a construction permit because the zoning plan has not been approved. Therefore, the Department of Construction proposed that the Provincial People's Committee assign the Department of Finance to review the progress of this project. For the Vinpearl Phu Quy Social Housing Project, the investor has submitted a request for approval of the investment policy to the Department of Finance. The Department of Construction proposed that the Provincial People's Committee promptly consider approving the project investment. The Cam Nghia Ward Social Housing Project is expected to be completed in 2025 with 1,142/3,565 apartments and the remaining apartments will be completed in 2026. The Department of Construction will continue to monitor and urge the investor in implementing the project to ensure compliance with the set plan.
