Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just approved the 1/2,000 scale zoning plan for the Chin Khuc mountain area in Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh District. The total planning area is about 972.9 hectares, of which Nha Trang City accounts for about 736.1 hectares and Dien Khanh District accounts for about 236.8 hectares. The preliminary boundaries for the zoning plan are Vinh Trung Commune, Vinh Thai Commune (Nha Trang City) and Dien An Commune (Dien Khanh District). The planning of the Chin Khuc mountain area aims to concretize the Nha Trang City General Planning Project to 2040; contribute to socio-economic development, gradually complete the network of technical infrastructure works and social infrastructure works in the area. This planning aims to develop the Chin Khuc mountain area into a cultural and spiritual area, with typical mountainous landscapes; develop service and tourism areas in the direction of creating green spaces, protecting and connecting the ecological landscape of Chin Khuc mountain, while ensuring synchronous connection with the projects of neighboring areas.
Chin Khuc mountain has a very special position as the highest mountain in the Nha Trang - Dien Khanh - Cam Lam area with an altitude of over 500 m. Many people say that standing on the top of this mountain is "nhat toa tam quan" (one standing point, 3 views). Chin Khuc mountain is a beautiful, majestic mountain range and is a part of the landscape symbol of the coastal city of Nha Trang.
The Chin Khuc Mountain area is being planned at a scale of 1/2,000
Currently, the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province is proposing that Nha Trang City and Dien Khanh district organize a consultation on the Zoning Plan (scale of 1/2,000) for the Chin Khuc Mountain area. According to the plan, the area of 972.9 hectares of land for planning is divided into 3 sub-areas. Specifically, sub-area A has an area of about 184.82 hectares, with the nature of a resort, commercial service area. Sub-area B has an area of about 200.35 hectares, with the nature of a cultural - sports center and a theme park. Build a spiritual and cultural center of Khanh Hoa province on the top of Chin Khuc Mountain. Sub-area C has an area of about 587.73 hectares, with the nature of a Nature Reserve and natural forest.
Accordingly, on the top of the mountain there will be a highlight of landscape architecture, culture and spirituality of Khanh Hoa province, associated with nature conservation and management of areas with special ecosystems. In particular, the planning area will not form a residential area and will not have residents. In particular, the construction land area is about 280 hectares, the total construction density includes: Thematic park area is maximum 25% and tourism service area is maximum 10%. This area will build roads with a width of 9-22.5 m.
According to the consulting unit, Vietnam Urban Development Consulting Joint Stock Company, the Chin Khuc mountain area under planning research has a favorable location, easily connecting with the center of Nha Trang city and Dien Khanh urban area through main traffic routes. The planning will contribute to the development of tourism service space on the mountain, ensuring conditions for terrain stability and mountain geology; restoring the mountain landscape ecosystem. However, it is necessary to ensure the safety of construction works, not causing landslides and being suitable for the natural landscape; applying advanced construction techniques and technologies to warn of the risk of landslides and subsidence in the event of natural disasters.
