Setting up the Tet pole is a traditional custom of the Vietnamese people. In recent years, many tourist areas in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa such as: Champa Island Nha Trang, The Anam Cam Ranh, Ana Mandara Cam Ranh... have restored the custom of setting up the Tet pole.

As scheduled, this year's Tet season, tourist areas have erected the Neu tree to welcome the Tet At Ty 2025. On January 21 (December 23), Champa Island Nha Trang tourist area erected the Neu tree to welcome Tet.

According to folklore documents, the Tet pole carries the philosophy of yin and yang, through the two words Can (Heaven) and Khon (Earth) in the image of the hat and stick of Chu Dong Tu and Tien Dung. The pole is also associated with the folk legend of preventing demons from the East Sea from entering the mainland, coming to the places where people live and work. Over time, each locality, each ethnic group's customs and practices, the meaning of planting the pole on Tet has become more widespread and diverse.

Some other ethnic groups such as Tay, Nung in the northern mountainous areas such as Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Bac Can, Lao Cai, Yen Bai plant the pole on the afternoon of the 30th day of the 12th lunar month. The Mong people erect the Neu tree in the Gau Tao festival from the 3rd to the 5th day of the first lunar month. The 7th day of the first lunar month is the day of lowering the Neu tree; the San Diu ethnic group erects the Neu tree in the Pray for the harvest ceremony. In addition, the neng tree in the Long Tong festival, the Pon Pong tree of the Muong people, and the buffalo stabbing tree of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands are all forms of the Neu tree.
