On August 21, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province announced that it had just approved the zoning plan (scale 1/2000) for the central urban area, Cam Lam New Urban Area. Specifically, the total planning area is about 5,652 hectares; the preliminary boundary for the zoning plan is in Cam Duc town, Cam Thanh Bac commune, part of Cam Hiep Bac, Cam Hiep Nam, Cam An Nam, Cam An Bac and Cam Hai Dong communes, Cam Lam district. The population is estimated at about 195,000 - 325,000 people, the construction land area is about 4,400 hectares.

For the newly planned housing group, the maximum aggregate construction density is 90%, the maximum construction height is 35 floors. Service area land includes public works, services, commerce and other works serving business with a maximum construction height of 45 floors.
Thematic parks have a maximum aggregate construction density of 25%, the maximum construction height is 3 floors; for golf courses, the maximum aggregate construction density is 5%, the maximum construction height is 3 floors. Particularly, tourism service land is oriented to build works such as trade services, service villages, commercial areas, entertainment services... to serve the needs of tourists with a maximum construction height of 45 floors.

The goal of the planning area is to develop a new administrative-political center of Cam Lam urban area, reusing the existing administrative-political center land of Cam Lam district for community purposes. Develop a new financial-commercial-service center line with the highlight of contemporary symbolic high-rise mixed-use buildings.
Develop a new southern urban center area with the function of a comprehensive urban center, associated with a high-tech industrial cluster, serving the needs of tourism, urban and innovation; renovate and embellish the existing Cam Duc town residential area combined with resettlement of scattered and non-concentrated residential areas.
Build an artificial island on Thuy Trieu lagoon
According to the planning, the core area of the central subdivision includes the innovation center area which is part of the regional comprehensive center area located separately from the mixed-use center block along the main urban axis. This area is located on Tri Tue Island (an artificial island on Thuy Trieu lagoon - PV).
In which, the innovation center area has an area of about 100 hectares with a complex of public works, culture, services, healthcare, training - research... surrounding an artificial bay.

This area is oriented to develop according to the Marina Bay - Singapore model, with a mixed-use high-rise office center, international commercial - financial centers with an attractive operating environment for global creative businesses...
This subdivision is also designed with Thuy Trieu 2 bridge, contributing to creating an impressive landscape of Thuy Trieu lagoon. In particular, the central highlight area also has a central park, a maximum height of 45 floors of intelligence.

In addition, the northern area of the subdivision will form an administrative, service, and eco-tourism urban area inspired by the image of the sun with a central park of 50 hectares.
The ancient European urban model with a typical centripetal urban form will be built for this urban area. The southern area of the new Cam Lam urban center is an ecological island urban area including a central starfish-shaped island and small surrounding islands, forming a unique urban model associated with the landscape of Thuy Trieu lagoon.
