On March 10, speaking to reporters, Mr. Tran Van Chau, Director of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, said that according to the target assigned by the Government on implementing the Project to invest in building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2030, Khanh Hoa must build at least 7,800 social housing units.

Up to now, in the 2021-2025 period, Khanh Hoa has basically completed the target according to the Allocation Project, corresponding to 3,364 units/3,400 units (reaching 98.9% of the plan). In the 2025-2030 period, Khanh Hoa needs to complete more than 4,400 social housing units.

"It is expected that by the end of 2025, the social housing project in Cam Nghia ward, Cam Ranh city will complete 1,142 units/3,565 units. To complete the target, in the following years, Khanh Hoa needs to complete 650-680 units/year" - Mr. Tran Van Chau said.

Also according to the Director of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, in the recent period, many projects could not be implemented because they were waiting for approved plans to issue construction permits.

Currently, the work of establishing and adjusting district-level land use plans and construction zoning plans is being actively implemented by units as a basis for implementing investment procedures for social housing projects (procedures for selecting investors, allocating land, granting land use right certificates; establishing and appraising basic designs, technical designs; granting construction permits) to soon start construction.

For example, the Hung Phu II social housing project has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee in the Document No. 8860/UBND-XDND dated November 4, 2016 and adjusted the investment policy and approved the investor in Decision No. 585/QD-UBND dated March 15, 2023 (first adjustment).

However, up to now, the project has not been granted a construction permit due to waiting for the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of the Residential Area West of 2/4 Street in Vinh Hai - Vinh Phuoc Ward, Nha Trang City

Currently, the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of the Residential Area West of 2/4 Street in Vinh Hai - Vinh Phuoc Ward, Nha Trang City has been approved. The Nha Trang City People's Committee is collecting opinions from organizations, individuals and the community on the Master Plan of the Hung Phu II social housing project. Once approved, the project will be licensed for construction.

In the coming time, Khanh Hoa will focus on accelerating the implementation of a number of social housing projects such as the Hung Phu II social housing project (land area of ​​6,895m2, expected scale of about 30 floors, 1,200 apartments).

Along with that are a number of social housing projects in urban areas such as social housing in An Binh Tan Urban Area (area of ​​20,670 m2, expected scale of about 12 floors, with about 1,500 apartments), social housing in Hoang Long Urban Area (area of ​​11,309 m2, expected scale of about 9-12 floors with about 900 apartments).

In addition, there is the Vinpearl Phu Quy social housing project (land area of ​​about 10,000 m2, expected scale of 16 floors with about 600 apartments); the Cam Nghia ward social housing project, Cam Ranh city is expected to complete 3,565 apartments and a number of other projects will ensure social housing targets to meet the needs of subjects according to regulations.

According to Mr. Tran Van Chau, relevant sectors have developed the Khanh Hoa province Investment Promotion Program in 2025, synthesizing social housing investment projects in the province... as a basis for introducing to interested businesses, researching, proposing to participate in project implementation.

At the same time, the locality will allocate funds to complete site clearance for land funds with policies to implement social housing projects, as a basis for organizing calls for investors according to regulations.
