Since 2023, the annual Kite Award of the Vietnam Cinema Association has received the support and co-organization of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and Vega City Joint Stock Company (under KDI Holdings Group). The award ceremony took place at the Do Theater, Libera Nha Trang (also known as Vega City Nha Trang).

The 2024 Golden Kite Awards announcement and award ceremony will take place on the evening of September 10 at That Theater Square with the participation of more than 1,000 domestic and international delegates, artists, and actors. The organizers hope that through the power of cinema, the Golden Kite will be a cultural bridge, stimulate tourism, and become a national-scale film-tourism festival and quickly reach international levels.

The 2024 season will welcome 163 works competing for the award, including 18 movies, 18 TV series, 41 documentaries, 18 scientific films, 14 animated films, 50 short films, and 4 research and critical theory works. This year, for the first time, the Golden Kite Awards added the categories of Best Actor/Actress in Film and Best Actor/Actress in Television voted by the audience on the TikTok platform.

The event also received support from partners such as MB, Agribank, Masterise Homes, Vietnam Oil Corporation - Joint Stock Company (PVOIL), Sacombank, VietinBank, Sacotravel, VPBank, Por Amor... and media sponsors such as TikTok, Chicilon Media, Bizman Media.

In addition to the awards ceremony, audiences can participate in a series of activities within the framework of the awards such as: watching films competing at Lotte Cinema Nha Trang Tran Phu, Lotte Cinema Nha Trang Thai Nguyen and Beta Cineplex Nha Trang from September 3 to September 9. In addition, the organizers also held many online talk shows about the entries, built the Wall of Fame - a place to honor the works and individuals who won the Golden Kite Award from 2003 to 2022, and the seminar "Vietnamese Cinema since the country's reunification: 50 years - a journey" will look back at the proud development journey of the country's cinema industry...
