The pilot is to have more time to complete legal regulations related to submersible boat service activities. Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister agreed to extend the pilot period of submersible boat service activities in Nha Trang Bay.
This was approved based on the proposal of the Ministry of Transport. The maximum pilot period is until March 30, 2025.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of National Defense, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Vinpearl Joint Stock Company and relevant agencies to be responsible for implementation; management units regularly monitor and inspect the operation of vehicles and other support activities to ensure absolute safety...
Previously, the Prime Minister had agreed in principle to pilot the submersible boat service activities in Nha Trang Bay, which will be implemented from October 2020.
According to a report by Vinpearl Joint Stock Company, from April 30, 2022 to September 12, 2022, the company successfully organized 713 diving trips (including: test diving, training, welcoming guests); a total of 2,708 guests participated at Hon Mot, Nha Trang Bay.
The Ministry of Transport said that it is currently presiding over the drafting of a decree amending and supplementing related regulations. Including the management of diving boats operating in tourism in Vietnam's seaport waters. The draft decree has been sent to the Ministry of Justice for appraisal.
The draft provides a mechanism to facilitate business operations. Thereby improving the business environment, improving quality, diversifying services, attracting tourists, contributing to developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector.
Therefore, the Ministry of Transport has proposed that the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister consider extending the pilot period of diving activities in Nha Trang Bay. The pilot will be implemented until the full promulgation of legal documents regulating the management of diving boats operating in tourism waters in Vietnam's seaports.
