One weekend in early October, we followed a group of backpackers to conquer Hon En. This location is about 12km from the center of Nha Trang city and has many areas to check-in and see the city from above. The place we went to is an area located at an altitude of about 510m above sea level. This is considered one of the most beautiful spots where you can see the whole view of the hills, Vinh Phuong commune fields, Dac Loc lake, the whole view of Nha Trang city and part of Dien Khanh district.

The long stretch of pink grass makes the scene more poetic and romantic.

To get to Hon En, you can walk or climb the mountain, about 5km from the foot of the mountain. In addition, you can also rent an off-road vehicle to take you there. On the way to Hon En, you will see the scenery of blue sky and clouds, majestic mountains and rows of banana trees and green mango trees planted by locals along both sides of the road. After about 1 hour and 30 minutes of walking or 20 minutes by off-road vehicle, visitors will reach the top of Hon En. To hunt clouds early in the morning, you can go the afternoon before and camp overnight. According to the experience of Mr. Tran Ngoc Dao (Vinh Phuong commune), cloud hunting depends on the weather, but clouds usually appear around 5am and last for more than 30 minutes. When the sun is high, the clouds will gradually disappear. On sunny days after a rainy day, the clouds will be even more beautiful.

To have beautiful photos, people have to wake up very early to hunt clouds and welcome the sunrise.

Arriving at Hon En in the afternoon, our whole group got to see the sunset, the majestic mountains and the magical image of the city lit up. Early the next morning, when the sky was still misty, everyone got up to welcome the sunrise and hunt for clouds. The hazy city scene in the early morning mist gradually appeared before everyone's eyes. Layers of clouds stacked on top of each other, covering the city or playing with each other on the mountains in the distance looked very beautiful. The clouds embraced the mountains, blending with the city lights to create a sparkling scene. If you are lucky, you can also see the sea of ​​clouds in the early morning, seeing the clouds move from one place to another and gradually dissolve in the sun. The area where we hunted for clouds also had a long stretch of pink grass, making the scene more romantic. Nguyen Le Thanh Vy (residing in Ninh Phu commune, Ninh Hoa town) shared that the road to Hon En was very beautiful, with many reeds on both sides of the road, looking very poetic. The slippery roads in some places are also an interesting challenge for those who like to climb mountains. Standing from above, looking at the majestic mountains makes the coastal city of Nha Trang even more beautiful.

After about 1 hour and 30 minutes of walking, people will reach Hon En.

Hon En is also a place that photographers come to. Mr. Tran Viet (residing in Phuoc Tan ward, Nha Trang) said that he often takes photos of the coastal city from many different angles. When he came to Hon En, he had a completely new angle when in one photo he embraced the mountains, streets, and sea. Even more interesting was taking photos of the city when the sky was still misty, surrounded by clouds above.

Cloud hunting on Hon En peak is an interesting experience for tourists when coming to Nha Trang.
