Normally, spaces that use pure white or black will make a strong impression because of their consistency and uniformity. When entering a living space that is all white or all black, it is easy to feel the purity or luxury, but can also evoke some doubts about the monotony or oppression. Using white and black is therefore not difficult but certainly not easy.

In this apartment project in Hai Phong, white and black are no longer two opposing tones, but are mixed and used as a unified entity. Like day and night, light and dark, brilliant or mysterious... white and black through techniques and materials, blocks and light have been combined together to aim for the goal: to create a comfortable, convenient and elegant living corner.

White and black in the interior of this apartment are not clearly divided into white and black chessboards, but with gentle gray scales, helping to create a suitable background or highlight depending on the location. Therefore, in addition to the separate rooms that follow the structural framework, most of the spaces used are no longer clearly demarcated, but are connected smoothly and concisely. It can be seen here through the use of black and white, a design with rhythm, extension or clever ending has brought about quite effective visual connection.

With an area of ​​110 m2, the apartment has a small room available for storage or a maid's room. The owner requested to remove this space to make the kitchen more spacious. As a technology lover, wanting everything to be minimalist and tidy, the owner chose a modern style with pure black and white tones for lasting beauty over time. The design offers solutions for using a minimalist, seamless built-in cabinet system and optimizing convenience. The clean and clear, coherent shapes are emphasized through the maximum simplification of decorative details, pure interior of panels, surfaces, lines, and geometric blocks.

The main finishing materials used include Spanish tiles, Vicostone stone combined with imported Spanish neolith stone used in the kitchen and kitchen island. An Cuong industrial wood combined with flat painted wood with grain eraser is chosen to create minimalist and luxurious finishing surfaces. Lumi smart electrical system, imported Bosch kitchen appliances, Croled lighting and separate interior furniture manufactured according to the design of imported leather materials from Italy along with Takumizima sanitary equipment are also used to complete the apartment.

The interior surface gives a clean, neat and minimalist impression, with behind the wall partitions is a cabinet system serving the function and storing belongings.

The lighting system is designed to exploit the contexts and “usage scenarios” at night, not just enough to see clearly.

Because the balcony faces west, in the afternoon the apartment receives sunlight shining deep into the living area and kitchen, bringing a warmer and more vibrant tone to the black and white areas.

There are very few pictures or additional decorations, as the surfaces and shelves have created a unique character for the interior.
