The 2024 Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival with the theme "Nha Trang Pearl Bay Shines Brightly" will take place from June 13 to 16 with many attractive fairs, cultural - artistic, tourism and sports activities to serve tourists. It is estimated that during the 4 days of the festival, Khanh Hoa province will welcome about 400,000 visitors and vacationers.

 

About a month later, the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 continued with the participation of 4 teams from China, Korea, France, and the United Arab Emirates. The teams used drones to perform artistic light shows in the sky of Nha Trang. During the 4 days of the festival, Khanh Hoa welcomed about 670,000 visitors and vacationers. There were many visitors, the occupancy rate of accommodation in Khanh Hoa increased, some hotels in the city center with beautiful locations had room occupancy rates of 80-100%.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Tourism, said: "In 2024, Khanh Hoa province will organize many large-scale events, so it is difficult to mobilize social resources from organizations and businesses. Particularly for the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival, a relatively large organization budget is required, but the mobilization is slow, affecting the promotion, communication of the event, and the completion of the program script."

The Nha Trang International Bay of Light Festival has brought about a great effect in terms of communication and destination promotion for Khanh Hoa province. According to statistics from the Organizing Committee, up to now, there have been nearly 3,000 news and articles about the event, many prestigious international news agencies have reported on this event. The event's fanpage has about 5 million followers and more than 100 million views on all other social networking platforms.
According to Mr. Pham Quoc Hoan, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Khanh Hoa province, organizing the International Bay of Light Festival has helped the locality gain more experience in communication, building and promoting destinations: "Increasing the use of social networks, famous people such as KOLs to promote events. This year, the Bay of Light Festival and the frequency agency have closely coordinated so that drones can operate properly, without any incidents related to drone flight activities".

In the first 7 months of 2024, Khanh Hoa tourism industry welcomed 7 million visitors, with estimated revenue of 33,000 billion VND, an increase of 70% over the same period last year. Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that the province will develop content, update technology trends, and organize the Bay of Light Festival in the coming years to attract tourists. The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee hopes that tourism service businesses will actively participate in responding to and sponsoring the program. Especially businesses that directly benefit from the program.
