The project has a scale of 2.5 floors, built on a 161 m2 plot of land located in the middle of the coastal fishing village of Cua Dai, Hoi An (Quang Nam). The house is a complex including the living space of a family with parents of retirement age and the son's studio.

The design plan needs to ensure that the house is a quiet living space, overcoming the disadvantages of the west-facing facade and the harsh weather conditions in the Central region (summer heat, storms and floods in October-November) with a cost of 2.1 billion VND.

Green trees are planted horizontally and vertically to create a natural curtain to block the sun from the west, helping to filter the air, reduce noise and visibility from outside into the house.

To save costs, materials are minimized, retaining the original rough surface and limiting the use of other finishing materials. The project uses locally available materials such as polished stone, washed stone, sầu đâu wood, polished concrete, unburnt bricks... easy to clean and environmentally friendly.

The common space on the first floor includes a porch, a living room connected to the kitchen, creating a connection between family members and teachers and students studying at the studio. The door system is arranged deep inside the house to reduce heat and can be opened and closed flexibly.

Glass panels and tilt doors are fully utilized at the construction's setback points to bring in fresh air and release hot air from the roof.

Kitchen island, dining table… are flexibly designed, can be expanded or moved to suit the purpose of use.

The living room is connected to the kitchen, with minimal furniture. The living room is surrounded by green plants and swing doors to help with ventilation, creating a relaxing space.

The studio on the 2nd floor is where the owner creates paintings, teaches drawing offline, online, organizes small exhibitions... The space prioritizes flexible, multi-functional furniture to meet many usage needs.

The studio is directly connected to the front garden. The tree curtain ensures relaxation, comfort and creativity for the homeowner and the student.

The studio is connected to the second floor bedroom by a door hidden in the bookshelf, creating privacy for the homeowner's resting space.

The project utilizes the attic corner as a storage room, connected to the studio by a hidden staircase system.
