Passalacqua: The hotel in Como, Italy, ranked second on the list, and was described as a “gem” by experts from The World’s 50 Best. The Passalacqua is housed in an 18th-century villa that once hosted many Italian aristocrats. The hotel has 24 boutique-style rooms that showcase exquisite Italian craftsmanship. Last year, Passalacqua was awarded the best hotel.

Rosewood Hong Kong: The hotel ranked third on the list, which was described as “a stunning display of minimalism, combined with luxurious marble.” The property opened in 2019 and offers views of the famous Victoria Harbour.

The bathroom is the highlight of the hotel, created from a “symphony of marble and mirrors,” giving it a palace-like feel. Meanwhile, the bedrooms feature neutral tones and wooden furniture, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

Cheval Blanc: Ranked fourth is a hotel in Paris, next to the city’s famous Pont Neuf bridge. The 72 light-filled rooms offer views of the Seine, and feature marble bathrooms, private dressing rooms and fragrances from Maison Dior.

The Upper House: Hong Kong’s fifth-placed hotel features more than 400 works of art, which are placed throughout the property, creating a sense of calm in every corner. The pieces are carefully selected, ranging from ceramics to sculptures in marble, sandstone and bronze.

Raffles Singapore: According to Visit Singapore, this is the island's most famous hotel, with many historical stories, from the shooting of the last tiger in Singapore to the creation of the iconic Singapore Sling cocktail. The building was recognized by the Singapore government as a national monument in 1987, and has undergone many renovations, the last of which was in 2019. Famous people who have stayed here include Charlie Chaplin, Queen Elizabeth II and writer Rudyard Kipling.

Aman Tokyo: Ranked No. 7, this Tokyo hotel is described as "a place filled with light in the heart of bustling Tokyo." According to experts from The World's 50 Best, the atmosphere inside the hotel is a stark contrast to its bustling central location. A must-visit for visitors is The Spa, the hotel's wellness facility, which offers treatments ranging from herbal treatments to Shinto rituals like Misogi (a type of spiritual cleansing with water, aimed at connecting with the gods).

Soneva Fushi: The Maldives resort ranked 8th, the motto of this facility is "no news, no shoes", proving its complete isolation. Because the resort is located on an island, visitors will travel here by seaplane. The resort has 63 separate villas, making visitors sometimes forget the presence of others.
